About MyPayAU

MyPayAU is a free online tool that helps Australians understand their pay. We built it because existing tax calculators are either buried inside government websites with poor UX, or require sign-ups and subscriptions for basic information that should be freely accessible.

How Our Calculations Work

All calculations are based on the Australian Taxation Office's published tax rates for FY 2024-25. We apply:

• Current income tax brackets for residents, non-residents, and working holiday makers
• Low Income Tax Offset (LITO)
• Medicare levy (2%) with low-income shade-in thresholds
• Superannuation Guarantee (11.5% SGC rate for FY 2024-25)

All calculations run entirely in your browser. We never see or store your salary information.

Accuracy & Disclaimer

We update our calculators when tax rates change. However, individual tax situations vary and our tools provide estimates only. Factors like salary sacrifice, HECS-HELP repayments, additional withholding, and tax deductions will affect your actual outcome.
